Web Design
Web design is as easy or complex as you like to make it. To do things properly you need a healthy mix of paradigms. It's what makes the field so varied and interesting. There are human areas, aesthetics of design, there is functional areas, such as e-commerce, copywriting, usability and accessibility and there is the more 'techie' aspects of programming and database work
Web 2.0
Web 2.0 refers to the new breed of user centred websites such as youtube, facebook and blogs or podcasts. It is all about the user. Let's face it websites should be all about the user, but this has never been more the case than recently, now that the web has come of age and it's popularity is ever increasing. With web browsers striving to be more standards compliant (ahem, in most cases) and with better and more affordable screenreading technology, web developers/designers are better equipped than ever to produce websites geared towards usability and accessibility. So Web 2.0 is about inclusion, a web for all. It is no longer the domain of early uptake spotty geeks, it is ubiquitous, abundant and within reach of a broader range of the population.
